Most fireplace lights are a bulb or a screen sitting between the logs, and your eye goes straight to it. LumaLog hides the light inside a log and aims it at everything around it: the other logs, the hearth floor and the back wall.
What you see is warm light moving over real surfaces, the way a fire actually looks.

It's cut from real wood and hollowed out from the back. From the front it's just one more log in the stack.

Light you don't see
Up to six light zones point at the logs around it and at the hearth floor, so the glow moves across real wood and brick instead of shining at you.

No flame, no heat, no cables
A rechargeable battery sits inside, charged over USB-C. Switch it on with the button underneath, or from your phone.

A fire that doesn't loop
The flicker is modelled on a real fire: a slow swell, a quicker flicker and the odd flare that rolls along the log. It never repeats in a pattern you can spot.

The LumaLog app connects to your log over Bluetooth. No account, no hub.
Three modes
Fire for most evenings, Ember for a low glow and Flame for a big room.
Brightness
From a faint glow up to full, in small steps.
Light zones
Turn zones on or off, including two low ones that light the hearth floor.
Auto-off
It switches itself off after anything from 30 minutes to 8 hours.

Your phone can play a real crackling fire along with the light.
More than one log
Keep the living-room log and the cabin log in the same app, each with its own name and sound.
You don't need the app. The button on the log switches it on and steps through Fire, Ember and Flame, and it remembers the last mode you used.
For cold fireplaces only.
LumaLog is a light, not firewood. Use it in a fireplace or stove that isn't lit, and never put it in a fire or on hot embers.

What will it cost?
We haven't set a price yet. People on the waitlist will hear it first.
When can I buy one?
We're building and testing prototypes now. We'll email the waitlist when orders open.
How long does the battery last?
We're measuring that on the prototypes and will publish real numbers, not estimates. It charges over USB-C.
Does it get warm?
No. It gives off light, not heat.
Do I need the app?
No. The button on the log turns it on and steps through the modes. The app adds brightness, light zones, the timer and the fire sound.
